The Church of the Holy Family, Ulu Tiram is in the midst of raising funds to build a new church to accommodate the growing community as Ulu Tiram undergoes urbanisation and becomes a satellite township to Johor Bahru City.

The current church building sits by the river bank and is prone to flooding especially during the monsoon season. Apart from that, the classrooms and church is unable to cater to the multilingual communities of the parish. The new church building aims to solve this problem by its situation on higher land away from the river, as well as building a multipurpose building to hold classrooms, halls and other facilities to aid in the parish growth.
